Training: Java CAPS For Developers

Course Description

Java CAPS for Developers is a five day training course which focuses on the parts of the JavaCAPS 6 product suite that are typically used within integration projects.

Hands on exercises are a regular part of the course, allowing students the chance to put their learning into practice. The course covers both Repository and Java Business Integration development, giving the student confidence in the two main areas of development in Java CAPS.

At the end of the course Students will be able to design and develop Repository and JBI projects, understand HL7 and use Java CAPS to provide effective healthcare solutions.

At the end of the course Students will be able to,

  • Design and develop Repository projects using FTP and Database adaptors
  • Design business process models in BPEL version 1.0 and 2.0
  • Use JBI binding components and service engines.

The course is aimed at software developers who want to gain a practical understanding of using Java CAPS

Pre-requisites

The student will have a basic understanding of Java and databases.

Skills Gained

  • Develop Repository based projects using common eWay adapters
  • Develop JBI based projects using common binding components
  • Understand the use of BPEL (version 1.0 and 2.0) within Java CAPS
  • Build and deploy projects
  • Use the Enterprise Manager and Admin console to manage and monitor projects
  • Understand the various command line utilities available
